What it does
- A catalogue that works as a bio link. A seller gets one link on Instagram; theirs shows their whole stock with prices instead of inviting another "price?" in the DMs.
- Discovery, not search. A visual feed, categories and storefronts, built mobile-first for the phones people actually use.
- Both languages. The entire interface is available in English and Kiswahili.
- Built for real connections. Works on a poor bundle, installs to the home screen, and has a text-only mode for when data is short.
What it deliberately does not do
SokoVerse processes no payments and holds no funds. The sale is between buyer and seller,
and money moves directly between them. This is stated plainly in the published terms —
handling funds would bring the platform under payment-systems regulation, and that is not a
step to take before the marketplace itself is proven.
